About Us

Born n’ Bred Bio Multi-award winning songwriters and singers, Paul Colyvan and Glenda Bancell from the Australian Red Dirt band Born n’ Bred, have recently released their first self- titled CD. Recorded in Nashville and co-produced by the incredibly talented and well known industry great Mark Mosely, this soulful, engaging, upbeat and emotive CD has already touched the hearts of many with their single ‘Someday’ charting on the American Independent Radio Charts and earning Best Alternate Country Song at the 2014 Canberra Blues Festival. Their unique Australian Red Dirt sound comes from two distinct backgrounds. Paul learned to play the side drum at Narrabri Primary School in N.S.W. His father, an Officer in the 1 Armoured Regiment gave him his first Johnny Cash cassette, which influenced his sound greatly, along with Punk and British Pop. Married together with Glenda’s early influence of Country music from her parent’s collection including the greats Charlie Pride, Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton, it is no wonder these talented musicians and songwriters are gathering fans worldwide. They recently completed a successful tour of the Southern States of the USA, including Nashville’s Music City Bar and Grill and the Nashville Palace to industry and audience acclaim. Having returned to Australia and reuniting with their dynamic and charismatic band members, they are now looking forward to sharing their music and entertaining live show with home grown audiences.
